The Rector, Ikirun College of Health Technology, Mr. Salaudeen Oyewale, has felicitated with Nigerians on the occasion of the nation’s 66th Independence Anniversary, calling for renewed patriotism, unity and collective commitment to the development of the country.
In a goodwill message marking the anniversary, the Rector described Independence Day as an important occasion for Nigerians to reflect on the country’s journey, appreciate the sacrifices of its founding leaders and renew their commitment to building a peaceful, prosperous and united nation.
Mr. Oyewale urged Nigerians to see nation-building as a collective responsibility, stressing that meaningful development requires citizens to contribute positively to their communities and uphold values such as integrity, discipline, tolerance, hard work and respect for the rule of law.
He particularly encouraged young Nigerians and students to take their education and character development seriously, noting that the future of the nation depends significantly on the quality of knowledge, skills and values acquired by the younger generation.
The Rector reaffirmed the commitment of Ikirun College of Health Technology to producing competent and morally grounded health professionals who will contribute meaningfully to strengthening healthcare delivery and improving the well-being of Nigerians.
While congratulating the President and Commander-in-Chief, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke and Nigerians at home and abroad, Mr. Oyewale prayed for continued peace, stability and progress across the country.
He called on all Nigerians to remain hopeful and committed to the task of building a better nation, saying that every citizen has a role to play in advancing the country’s development.
