Ikirun Health Tech Celebrates Pioneer Graduates as Academic Board Approves Graduating List
The Ikirun College of Health Technology has reached another significant milestone in its institutional history as the Academic Board, under the leadership of the Rector, Mr. Salaudeen Oyewale approved the list of pioneer graduating students of the institution.
The approval marks a landmark moment for the College, as the pioneer set of students who have successfully completed the requirements for their respective programmes are set to join the growing community of professionally trained health personnel contributing to healthcare delivery and public health development.
The development was announced in a memo signed by the Acting Director of Academic Planning, Mrs. Dorcas Oluwaseun, following the consideration and approval of the graduating students’ academic records by the Academic Board.
She said, “the decision underscores the College’s commitment to maintaining academic standards, ensuring due process and producing graduates equipped with the requisite knowledge, skills and professional competence to contribute meaningfully to the health sector.”
“The pioneer graduates have undergone academic training designed to prepare them for the realities and responsibilities of the health profession. Their journey through the College has involved classroom instruction, practical training, professional exposure and other academic requirements expected of students in health technology programmes.”
Speaking on the landmark achievement, the Rector, Mr. Salaudeen Oyewale, described the approval of the graduating list as a historic achievement for the College and a moment of pride for the institution, the graduating students, their parents and guardians, members of staff and other stakeholders who have contributed to the growth of the institution.
According to the Rector, “the achievement represents more than the completion of an academic programme, as it reflects the determination of the students and the collective efforts of the College's management, academic and non-academic staff to establish a strong foundation for quality health education.”
Mr. Oyewale congratulated the pioneer graduates for successfully reaching this important stage of their academic journey, while urging them to uphold the values of professionalism, integrity, discipline, compassion and continuous learning as they proceed into the next phase of their careers.
He stressed that graduating from the College should be regarded not as the end of learning but as the beginning of a greater responsibility to humanity, particularly at a time when the healthcare system requires competent, ethical and committed professionals capable of responding to emerging health challenges.
The College, which offers programmes including ND Community Health Technology, ND Public Health Technology and others has continued to place emphasis on academic excellence, professional development and practical competence.
The approval of the graduating list is expected to pave the way for subsequent activities associated with the graduation of the pioneer set, with further information regarding Industrial Training, National Examination and related activities to be communicated by the College through its authorised channels.
