NBTE CONDUCTS RESOURCE INSPECTION AT IKIRUN COLLEGE OF HEALTH TECHNOLOGY

The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), led by Baklisu M. Daku, Director of the New TVET Institution Registration Department (NTIRD), recently conducted a resource inspection at Ikirun College of Health Technology. This evaluation is a critical step in the college's pursuit of accreditation for its health technology programs.
 
The NBTE team was warmly received by the institution's founder, Mr. Salaudeen Oyewale; the Chairman of the Governing Board, Eng. (Dr.) Adeleke Olawuyi; and the Acting Registrar, Mr. Abdullahi Adeniyi. During the visit, the team assessed the college's infrastructure, including laboratories, classrooms, and learning materials, to ensure compliance with national standards for health technology education. They also engaged with faculty and administrative staff to evaluate the institution's readiness to offer accredited programs.

Mrs. Daku emphasized the importance of accreditation in maintaining quality education in technical and vocational institutions across Nigeria. He noted that such evaluations are essential for upholding educational standards and ensuring that graduates are well-prepared to contribute effectively to the healthcare sector.
 
Mr. Salaudeen expressed optimism about the outcome of the inspection and reiterated the college's commitment to providing high-quality training for health professionals. He stated, "This inspection brings us closer to achieving full accreditation, reflecting our dedication to excellence in health technology education."
 
The successful completion of this resource inspection marks a significant milestone for Ikirun College of Health Technology as it advances toward full accreditation and recognition by the NBTE. The college community eagerly anticipates the final decision, which will determine its capacity to offer accredited health technology programs and contribute to addressing the nation's healthcare needs.
